With a Furl storage bed, you can open and close them with easy-to-lift side or end-opening mechanisms. We’ve designed our frames and mechanisms to carry a lot of weight whilst also being very easy to open and close.

However, for those who want or need the opening and closing of our ottoman or storage beds to be easier, we’ve got electric opening mechanisms that can be fitted to any bed design, style, or size.

Our electric opening mechanism is simple and easy to use:

1. Either online or in one of our showrooms, select the storage bed you want (we also have sofa beds and storage sofas with electric mechanisms) and it will be custom-made with an electric opening mechanism
2. You control this with a remote control: it’s that simple
3. When you want to open the storage bed, press up on the remote control and two powerful motors smoothly raise the mattress to give you access to the vast storage area.
4. Safety is built in and a backup system too, in case of power failure.
5. When you want to close the storage bed, simply press down on the remote control and it will close for you. Make sure to move out of the way of the moving mattress and frame and remove anything that might obstruct the mechanism before closing it.
